These agents run on your Claude subscription, not the API — there is no ANTHROPIC_API_KEY set, so the SDK uses your logged-in Claude Code session. The dollar figures shown are the SDK's notional estimate of what the same work would cost on the API; you are not billed for them. The real constraint is subscription rate limits, which a heavy day of agent work shares with your own interactive use.
Agents are defined in
cos-runner/src/sync-agents.mjs and registered with npm run agents. Each one is a prompt, a schedule and an autonomy level — the framework is the same whether there are nine of them or ninety.
